Shriya

Ms Shriya Dua is an alumnus of prestigious boarding schools in India, The Lawrence School Sanawar and Pinegrove School Solan. She completed her graduation with First-Class Honours in History from the famed Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She obtained a Masters in Community Education and Disability Studies and is a Bachelors in Special Education (Gold Medallist), from Panjab University. She has also completed a PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, with a specialisation in Learning Disabilities. She is registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) as a Rehabilitation Professional and is a strong advocate for ‘Inclusive Education’, in India. She has worked as a lecturer in Panjab University teaching students of Bachelors in Education, prior to her appointment at Pinegrove School, in the year 2014. She is currently the Assistant Director at Pinegrove School Distt Solan HP, looking after the domains of Special Education, Human Resource Development (HR), Admissions, Guidance and Counselling, Pastoral Care and Parent Interaction. She is a prolific artist, enjoys travelling and loves tapping the best potential in every child, making them believe in themselves and their own capabilities.

Capt Renu belongs to Zirakpur in Punjab and has done her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Bangalore. She has served in the Indian Army (AOC) and later took to teaching. She is a science graduate from St. Joseph's College, Bangalore and later did her Master's in English. BEd from Kurukshetra University. She has both teaching as well as administrative experience in educational institutions. She is rendering services as a Head of School at Subathu.

Mr. Pankaj has done his Master's in Mathematics and Education from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and Bachelor's in Education from IGNOU. His long and successful tenure of fifteen years as a Mathematics teacher and a House Master in Pinegrove School exemplifies his competence and ability to do justice with student-teacher relationships. Apart from academic achievements, he has been instrumental in laying a strong foundation for students by serving as a core member of Discipline and Examination Committees for the last four and six years respectively. Devoted entirely towards the noble cause of student upliftment, he believes that spending quality time with students is the only instrument for a pedagogue to achieve unprecedented results! He has been appointed as the Head Teacher of the Subathu wing to take care of the Academic Development of the children.

Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet is a Post Graduate in Computer Science and has also done Master's Diploma in Software Engineering from APTECH, PGDCA from Kurukshetra University. He did a Diploma in Computer & Office Management from IGNOU. He has been a Microsoft Certified Professional since 1999 and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) since 2010. He has had the experience of working with STG and APTECH for nearly 4 years and got the `FAME 2000` award from APTECH for excellence in Academic performance. He has been working at the Subathu wing since 2002. He is teaching IT to senior children and holds the designation of Head of Activities, IT and Round Square Representative.

Devendra Gumra

A Botany (Hons.) Graduate from St. Xavier's College Ahmedabad, Devendra holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Jammu University and Masters Degrees in English and Education from HP University. She was awarded a Biology Research Fellowship in the year 1995-96 by the Grace Braganza Research Centre for Biological Sciences, St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad for carrying out exceptional research on the Organogenesis in the plant 'Withania somnifera'. Apart from this she has also done Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from APTECH. She joined Pinegrove in March 2009 and is presently working as PGT (English). Devendra is an avid reader, enjoys listening to music and has travelled across the length and breadth of the country.

He joined Pinegrove in the year 2008 and teaches Mathematics.

Vineet Thakur

Vineet did his Bachelor's in Physical Education from Nagpur University in 2005 and M.P.Ed. from Shimla University in 2008. He completed his Diploma in coaching for soccer from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports in 2009. He has participated four times in the Senior National Santosh Trophy for Soccer. He had 2 years of teaching experience before joining Pinegrove in 2011. Currently, he is teaching Physical Education to Classes XI and XII and is also coaching students for soccer. He takes keen interest in adventurous activities and has been part of the Mount Deo Tibba, Friendship Peak and Chandernahan Expeditions under taken by the School.

He is also a Post Graduate in Kathak from Punjabi University, Patiala. Vikram has won many awards in National Youth Festivals, Inter University Competitions and National Natya and Nritya Mahotsavas. Vikram has joined Pinegrove School, Subathu as a Dance Teacher. Singing and reading books are his other interests.

He has been a trainer for Himachal Police Orchestra for 10 years and has also performed with top Bollywood singers like Udit Narayan, Sadhna Sargam etc. He enjoys Photography and Travelling. He is working as a Western Music composer and teacher in Subathu.

He has performed for the Republic Day Parade many times and has also been to Germany and Bhutan for band concerts.

He has also done various Diplomas in Office Automation, Computer Application, NBCD Basic Training at INS Shivaji, Diploma in Safety Officer, Diploma in Fire Officer, Diploma in Security Officer and Certificate Course in Covid Safe Sports Coach and Official. His Hobbies include playing Badminton and Swimming.

Munish is from Patiala. He did his Bachelor's in Physical Education from Punjabi University Patiala, M.PEd. from BAMU Aurangabad, NIS Course in Swimming from Gandhi Nagar and M.Phil. in Physical Education from Bharthiar University, Coimbatore. He has participated in swimming nationals at the school and university level. He was associated with the NCC and NSS during his college days and also participated in Soft Ball competition at the State level. Munish has over 10 years of experience as a Swimming Coach and Physical Education teacher in various institutes. He takes keen interest in social welfare and is working as a Swimming Coach at Subathu School.

Jai Singh hails from Solan, Himachal Pradesh. He has done a Master’s degree in Physical Education from Nagpur University and has also done a Course in Basketball from NIS Patiala. As a college student, he was a part of the Inter University Team and represented his University four times. He was also the captain of the team. He played three times in the Nationals in the senior category in Basketball. Under his captaincy, his team was declared winner in the 2013 National Championship in Rugby.

Tarun belongs to Solan. He has earned a BBA from HP University, Shimla and BPEd. from Punjabi University, Patiala. He is currently pursuing MPEd. He has been ranked among the Top 50 Badminton Players in India in the year 2019 and has consistently been Himachal No.1 for the last 4 years in a row. He has also led intervarsity badminton tournaments for H.P.U, Shimla in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018. He is a silver medallist of the CBSE Cluster. He is also a bronze medallist of the North Zone 2019. He has trained with elite badminton players in Bangalore and has also represented Himachal Pradesh in all India senior ranking badminton tournaments on several occasions. He loves sports and activities immensely and is fond of travelling, adventure and music.
